There are a lot of great options when it comes to webinar software. Most platforms have features like chat, recording, and polling. So how do you chose? Often too many options can bring on analysis paralysis and leave marketers unsure of where to even start looking. Here are a few things to consider when determining which webinar solution is right for you and your marketing program.

Understand your target audience

Depending on your subscription level, many webinar platforms have a cap on how many attendees can participate in your webinar. This makes it important to be strategic about who your prospective attendees are. If you are going after a very targeted prospect, such as a Chief Information Officer (CIO), it is likely that you will have a smaller audience than if you were targeting IT Managers. Your target audience and projected attendee numbers may influence which subscription your purchase and needs to be considered when evaluating platforms.

Be clear on your integration needs

Marketing is all about automating your processes and being able to report on your success. Your webinar platform should make it easier to do that, not harder. Make sure your chosen solution integrates with your current tools, specifically with your email automation and your CRM.

What makes sense for your budget

In the end, it all comes down to your budget. Most webinar softwares are subscription based and give you the option to pay month by month or for the full year (usually at a slight discount). There are a lot of solutions that offer incredible features that may be a nice to have, but not a need to have, especially if you are hosting only 1-2 webinars a quarter. Pick the option that makes sense for your marketing program and allows you to accomplish your webinar goals without breaking the bank.
