We're delighted to share some exciting news with our valued community. Banzai has been honored as a CMSWire IMPACT Gold award recipient in the category of Customer Journey Innovation. Winners were chosen from qualified nominees who were required to be customer experience leaders, departments/teams or vendors that deployed superior customer experience initiatives or programs over the past year, and we’re thrilled to have been recognized as such.

The Customer Journey Innovation category recognizes the digital customer experience department or team that has implemented the most novel and/or impactful customer journey optimization over the past year. This award reflects the unparalleled dedication Banzai has in serving our customers with the best possible experience in the marketing technology industry. In this blog post, we'll dive into the details of this fantastic achievement, exploring the significance of this award, what it means for our users, and why Banzai continues to stand out as a trusted and impactful brand for our customers.

As Banzai’s Customer Success and Customer Marketing teams dove deep into the customer journey experience of Banzai’s webinar platform, Demio, they identified a number of opportunities to help customers better optimize their accounts. One such opportunity would provide powerful cost savings to many customers lacking awareness of the offering. With Banzai’s mission in mind: Help our customers accomplish their mission, the Customer Experience department was driven to fill this awareness gap . The strategy they developed aimed to find the most effective way to communicate the substantial cost savings opportunity to Banzai’s customers. A mass email blast sent across the entire customer base was out of the question when the team predicted it would lead to increased unsubscriptions and account cancellations from “sleeper” accounts lacking active engagement. Instead, the chosen strategy was to launch a non-intrusive, low-pressure, yet well-timed awareness campaign directly within the platform, utilizing in-app pop-ups and bots. This approach was tailored to be minimally disruptive, ensuring that the users’ experience on the platform remained positive. Within one year, Banzai’s net revenue retention increased, and collectively saved our customers over $26,000 a year.
